What is a “standard set”?
By standard wiring we mean:
- A main distribution board with circuit breakers and RCD protection
- Separate circuits for: general sockets, kitchen, bathroom, water heater, air conditioning, lighting
- Earthing and a lightning conductor (if the building is not connected to an existing one)
- 3-4 sockets per room, 1-2 lighting points

What pushes the price up?
Smart systems (smart home)
KNX or a similar smart system adds 30-60% to the base price. It gives you central control, scenes, voice commands and so on. Worth it if you are a technical person and want maximum control.
EV charger for the garage
11kW charger: ~25.000-45.000 MKD (including the equipment). 22kW charger: ~40.000-70.000 MKD. It needs a dedicated circuit, protection and sometimes an upgrade to the main distribution board.
Outdoor lighting and the garden
A garden with 10-15 lighting points (terrace, paths, garage, facade): ~30.000-60.000 MKD. It depends on the distances involved and the type of lighting (standard LED vs IP65 decorative).
Preparation for solar panels
Preparing the roof and the board for a future photovoltaic system (not including the system itself): ~15.000-25.000 MKD. When the panels go up later, you avoid opening up the walls all over again.
Be wary of these “offers”
Offers under 50.000 MKD for the complete wiring of a 100 m² house should raise suspicion. It usually means: aluminium cable instead of copper, undersized circuits, sockets with no earthing, or work with no certificate. Saving now = a big bill in 3-5 years.
